What We Did

This was a complex project, requiring our team to take considerations to the building’s history, while creating an entirely new floor. Located in the historic Central Business District of New Orleans, the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners facility consisted of a full interior renovation of the existing four story building, while orchestrating the addition of a fifth floor. The building was built in the early 1900s as a branch for the international pharmaceutical company, Eli Lilly & Company. We preserved the building’s beautiful façade, while imitating its unique style on the fifth floor addition to give the illusion it was always there.

This 6,000 square foot addition includes a large board room, conference rooms and supporting facilities, such as restrooms and a kitchenette. Interior renovations of the existing building provided a full transformation, reorganizing the layout of the interior spaces to fit the needs of the new tenants. This overhaul was extensive, including a new mechanical and electrical system, fire protection and finishes.
